The Possible Causes of Automotive Air Conditioning Problems

The Possible Causes of Automotive Air Conditioning Problems

Although many people usually take the air conditioning in their cars for granted, until it stops working correctly, of course, the truth of the matter is that this is a rather important part of your vehicle with many vital components that must be maintained on a regular basis. If you've ever sat down in a car that's been sitting in the sun, you are already well aware of just how necessary a functioning air conditioning system really is.

While the push of a button is all it takes to turn the air conditioner on in your car, there are many different components working in tandem behind the scenes to produce the cool air we've come to rely upon, and any one of these may cause the system to not work properly. Fortunately, the air conditioning in cars made today are usually highly reliable systems with very little problems occurring, however, the most common difficulties are either no cool air or simply not enough cool air flowing from the vents.

No Cold Air

No cold or cool air at all coming from the air conditioner's vents may mean any one of the following problems:

- A blown fuse

- A broken drive belt

- A clog in the expansion valve

- A clogged refrigerant line

- A clogged receiver-drier line

- An existing defect in the expansion valve

- A slow leak in the hoses or seals

- A loose drive belt

Not Enough Cold Air

An insufficient flow of cool air coming from the A/C may signal another set of problems, including:

- A clogged condenser or evaporator

- A loose drive belt

- A low refrigerant charge

- A partially clogged expansion valve

- A partially clogged filter

- A problem with the compressor clutch slipping

- A slow leak somewhere in the system, such as in the hoses or seals

While it is completely normal for some refrigerant to leak from a car's air conditioning system, larger leaks may indicate a bigger problem with the compressor's seal or damage to one of the components.

Caring for Your Car's Air Conditioner

Although most repairs for air conditioning systems in cars will require special tools and equipment that many of us do not own, there are still several things you can do to keep your car's A/C running at its full capacity. Regular maintenance checks, according to the recommendations in your car's owner's manual, are important as the system contains many moving parts and components that must be checked for damage or disrepair.

Many newer makes and models of cars come equipped with filters within the duct portion of the air conditioner that are in place to trap dust and pollen before it reaches the air in the car. Although these may be rather beneficial for those people who suffer from allergies, depending on where you live and the air quality and pollution levels, the filters may fill up quickly and cause a reduction in airflow.

While there may still be enough refrigerant in place to cool the air, the clogged filter will impede the flow, making it too weak to cool down the inside of the vehicle. Directions for changing this filter and where to purchase new ones should also be in the owner's manual.

Even air conditioning systems without this special filter in place can experience reduced airflow because of trapped dirt, pollen, and moisture that may eventually turn to mold, further aggravating allergies.

If there is a musty odor coming from the A/C vents just after turning the system on, this may indicate the presence of mold which could be blocking the system's evaporator. The air might feel cool, but the flow won't be strong enough to cool off the entire car. A mechanic will be able to remove the parts necessary to clean, such as those leading to the evaporator, with certain chemicals needed to dissolve the build-up.

Even if you live in a cold climate and don't need to use your car's air conditioner very often, many mechanics recommend running the system for at least ten minutes per month to keep the moving parts within the compressor properly lubricated. The compressor is also used in many types of cars when the defroster is used, so you may not have to actually run the air conditioner at all.

The One Man Band and a Network of Thousands

One Man Band: To Be, Or Not To Be?
At various times in my photography career I have had up to five people working for me. A small number of employees compared to the number of staff members of many other photographers, but certainly a handful for me!

I remain firmly convinced that having the right employees can make your business way more efficient and profitable, and having the wrong employees can really drag you down. One question you need to answer before you grow your business staff is whether it will suit the life you want to lead.

Large Staffs, Part Time Employees, and Pressure
I know of several photographers who have large staffs, produce wonderful work in vast quantities, haul in huge dollars and feel like they are slaves to their operations. One such stock shooter, who has over a dozen staff members, remarked to me how much he envied my trips abroad to shoot stock. I suggested he embark on such a trip.

He said he couldn't, his huge studio expenses would continue whether he was there or not, so he had to be there to keep producing. I'm sure not everyone feels that way, but it is a feeling I certainly understand.

Whenever I have had full-time, or heck, even part time employees, I have felt pressure to keep them busy and productive.

Routine Tasks And Freedom
Right now I have no one working for me. It feels great! The downside is that I have to do things I don't necessarily want to, like entering metadata, running to the store to buy printer ink (I just got back), and taking care of all the routine tasks that I consider myself too important to do. Oh well. It also means that I won't make quite as much money.

Sure, there is no salary to pay, but I have always found that employees have earned me more than they have cost meat least in terms of dollars. But at this point in my life I value my freedom more than I do those extra dollars.

A One Man Band And A Network Of Thousands
The trade-off? I have to be that proverbial One Man Band. Of course, I do avail myself of independent contractors. I have a bookkeeper that comes in every couple of months to untangle my latest Quickbooks mess, my web master (actually my twin brother) who handles the heaviest SEO load, and the occasional assistant as needed.

But more importantly, I have a network of thousands (OK, maybe hundredsbut whose counting?) I can turn to when I need help, pretty much anywhere in the world. I have this network of friends and from photographer forums, from helping others and sharing information whenever I can.

One of the most amazing things about this new fangled Internet is all of the help that is out their waiting for all of us. I guess none of us really has to be a one man band anymore.

Did you know that driving in Puerto Rico could end up being severely dangerous? In fact, the place is specifically known for its comparatively aggressive driving style, sported primarily by local private care owners. So, if you are on a trip to Puerto Rico, using a chauffeur assisted tour provider would perhaps be the best. And, if you wish to move around in true style, a limo service could prove to be the ideal choice for Puerto Rico tours.

The advantages associated with hiring a limo service for Puerto Rico tours would however depend largely on how well you have chosen your service provider. Choices have to be made on the basis of a host of parameters including the condition in which limousines are offered, the quality of chauffeurs provided, complete service quality including punctuality, and of course experience and reputation. Provided you have chosen with precision, some advantages associated with engaging limo services have been listed below.

Puerto Rico Tours: Advantages of Engaging a Limo Service

Some of the key benefits include:

Most of these limo services you choose for your Puerto Rico tours would be providing you with meet and greet services at the airport. So, in case you are arriving for the first time, a uniformed chauffeur would be there to greet you at the airport. You would then be transported to your hotel or place of accommodation and your tours can then be planned from there. Therefore, it would minimize all the hassles of getting acclimatized to a new airport and its rules, looking for cabs, hunting down hotel locations and so on!
Limo drivers would not only be professional and well dressed; they would also be qualified and well versed with the city. And, considering the fact that Puerto Rico tours could be extended ones owing to the wide range of sites to be explored, having chauffeurs who are well versed with directions would be a huge plus. Your trips can be immaculately planned with minimal wastage of time.
Limousines are luxury personified. They are ideal for a stylish travel with complete comfort. Especially, if you are traveling with a large group in tow, limos could be especially advantageous. The entire group can be accommodated in a single vehicle and you can savor the joys of travelling together as you explore this eclectic locale. With many destinations to explore, the more relaxed you are, the better it is likely to be for you!
Puerto Rico tours can be more enjoyable when you engage limo services that offer additional services like entertainment and refreshments on board! Limo services would be keen to offer the same for an added fee. Make sure you enquire about them in advance.
If you are looking out for a gastronomic extravaganza when here, the local dishes coupled with fresh spirits are not likely to let you down. And, when you have a trained chauffeur and a comfortable limo waiting on you, there would be no problems in gulping down a few extra spirits! After all, you would still be driven home safely, in full grand comfort.

The Lincoln Navigator

The Lincoln Navigator

This is how times change. Back in 1949 a World War II hero with four purple hearts called Carmen Miceli opened a tiny pizza restaurant in Hollywood. The average price for a meal was under $1. But it soon became a favorite with restaurant-goers, and by the mid50s, and early 60s the humble little eatery was attracting celebrities such as Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe, the Beatles, and JFK.

Fast-forward to 2010, and 60 Warner-AOL executives arrive at the very same Miceli's to celebrate there. But what do they all roll up in? Not cabs, not their own Bentley's, and Rollers, or standard limousines. No, they pull up in three Lincoln Navigator super stretch limos. That's right, 20 in each, all enjoying luxury status, and the glamor of celebrity in beautiful plush comfort. Why? Because it's the only way to travel on a big night out...and is actually very economical. Executives don't get where they are today by not knowing about economics. But aside from that traveling to a night out destination, a restaurant, bar, or club, or sporting event in something like a Navigator is just pure fun when there are so many people involved.

And it is that sense of occasion, and fun, and economy that is being enjoyed by not just by the money-men, the rich, and powerful, the executive elite. No, it's a style, and bit of glitz that EVERYONE can enjoy these days. Which is how it should be.

So, stand aside Warner-AOL execs, and allow Ordinary Joe to explain what is so great about a ride in a chauffeur-driven stretch limo. Well, for starters it looks a million dollars from the very first glance as over 30 feet long! And then there's the gull-wing jet doors, massive chrome wheel rims, and tinted windows. Just one looks says, "First Class."

And then when those gull-wing doors glide noiselessly open, the words "First Class" becomes superseded by other equally expressive superlatives, such as "Awesome," "Mega," "Breathtaking," and "Out of this world," as the eyes fall on the swish leather upholstery, floor-to-ceiling disco light show, neon-illuminated paneling, chintzy cocktail cabinet, TV screens, and meg-watt sound system.

And then of course, there's the moon roof, for that final touch of excitement, elegance, and "Wow" factor. It's simply irresistible. And at only $95 an hour ($4.75 per person with 20 sharing), it's beautifully priced, and worth every dime.

There you have it. Over 60 years on from the opening of Hollywood's first pizzeria by a war hero, a new kind of swash, and buckle befitting such heroism has emerged: the Lincoln Navigator super stretch limo.

The Importance of Gas Detection and Monitoring in Industrial Manufacturing and Production

The Importance of Gas Detection and Monitoring in Industrial Manufacturing and Production

Most manufacturing industries in the world, be it food production, mining, automotive, use chemicals and machinery that can produce dangerous level of poisonous gases. The most common types of toxic gases found in modern industrialized work places include: ammonia, methane, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, carbon monoxide and dioxide. Some gases are more apparent in their presence by their pungent smell, but some are odorless and tasteless, making them particularly hazardous. In some instances, gas detection is relatively simple procedure, but in others it may be more difficult to control. There are many factors that companies should consider when deciding on the proper gas monitoring system. Gas detectors are especially necessary in areas where fresh air is limited and where additional danger situations are present. In a power generation facility, be it coal, natural gas, oil, nuclear, its crucial that proper gas detection and monitoring controls are put into place protecting both humans and expensive work equipment. While these lethal gases are used for the betterment of society, they also pose a serious threat to health and work environment when a high enough concentration is present.

Chlorine is a good example of how a toxic gas is use to help keep the current standard of living in todays society.Chlorine is commonly used for disinfecting waste water in the sewage sanitation process and as a bleaching agent during the production of paper and cloth. Chlorine is also used in countless cleaning products, household bleach, pesticides, polymers, synthetic rubbers, and refrigerants. While Chlorine does not combust easily, combined with other common substances it becomes extremely explosive. Another example is carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is produced combustion engines and the other fuels including wood, coal, charcoal, oil, propane, natural gas, etc. Since CO is a tasteless, odorless gas, a good risk management plan must include continuous gas monitoring system.

Gas detection, monitoring and control system can be installed into a new or existing industrialized facility that generates extensive carbon monoxide. To provide sufficient early warning detection, multiple gas sensors are strategically placed throughout the work location or near operating equipment. Advanced gas monitoring systems are capable of triggering audible and visual alarms to alert personnel. Gas detection controls are smarter than ever before and can be programmable to execute the most complex processes. For instance, if a methane leak is detected in a natural gas power plant, within seconds, a control system can alert the workers, shut down production equipment, turn on ventilation fans thus preventing a fire or explosion. The gas detection technology was able to prevent further damage and cost, all the while increasing overall safety and production.

The Importance Of Entertainment In Everyday Life

The Importance Of Entertainment In Everyday Life

People who work round the clock are prone to psychological disorders. The effects can vary from one person to another but they become like background noise - always a part of your personality. Entertainment is only a tool that can minimize or eliminate that negative effect.

All those activities that are categorized as entertainment actually deviate your attention from matters that cause mental stress and pressure. Many studies and researches have shown that a workplace where the environment is stress-free and friendly in nature has a higher efficiency level. Human resource departments often rely upon the presence of entertainment to create a better-working environment. Large enterprises often create a refreshment area for their employees inside the company building. These recreational areas are for the staff and they can come and enjoy their leisure time.

Schools are also asked by education boards to engage their students in extra curricular activities. These activities are very important for improving social interaction skills and character building. They help bring a sense of healthy competition and fair play spirit among the students.

Many people consider some high-risk activities as their source of entertainment. Bungee jumping, off-road traveling, scuba diving and sky dive. These activities can prove fatal but if they are performed under the supervision of professionals, they can be really fun.

The most important thing everyone should do is enjoy some sort of activity during their daily routine that will take away the issues that come up during through the day. Constantly thinking about what goes wrong and what needs to be done keeps your stress levels way too elevated for your own good. You can go for something as simple and as easy as a reading a book in your lunch break - for the brief period when you immerse yourself in that universe you tend to forget about your issues - enough for your brain to take a break from all the madness.

Another interesting alternative is simply taking a break from it all and going for a walk - you would be amazed how truly entertaining a walk can be. Simply take your mp3 player with you, let your favorite songs play and during your lunch break go to your "happy place". There is no better entertainment while you are at work. You can also consider something more eclectic like a PlayStation portable if you are the kind of person that enjoys being challenged at a console game now and then.

It all depends on your wants and needs - entertainment comes in a variety of ways, and picking the one that is right for you will ensure its efficiency in stress-relief matters. Remember that it is important to do exactly what you want - that's why it's called taking a break.

The Future of the Office Photocopier Industry

The Future of the Office Photocopier Industry

Since Xerox first invented and sold the first commercial photocopy machine companies and organisations have paid for use of the machine on a cost per copy basis. This has traditionally included full maintenance and toner supplied under a service agreement. The office photocopier is unique in the fact its one of the only pieces of equipment that comes without a warranty from new.

The photocopier has evolved completely from an ink or wet xerographic process to dry toner analogue machines and now to digital photocopiers. But the industry is stuck in the past, at a time where the photocopier or Xerox Machine required constant maintenance and broke down frequently. As the technology has evolved so has reliability improved and service costs fallen but that benefit has failed to be fully passed on to the consumer.

One of the easiest ways to explain is to compare photocopiers to the television industry. 30 years ago the average television broke down twice a year and being a television repair engineer was a full time living. Large companies such as Granada rented out televisions and there were even coin operated televisions. However the technology changed, not only did televisions become affordable but they became much more reliable. If we look today for Television Repair in Yell in most towns we get one listing, where once we would have had 20 or 30 listings (albeit in the hardcopy yellow pages!). The same thing is about to happen to the photocopier market.

With digital technology we are now dealing with not a photocopier but a printer and scanner. The scanner part of the photocopier is very reliable and the only weakness comes from the printing and feeding of originals. With printers customers have come to expect reliability and customer changeable units. Digital Photocopiers will follow the same way. Recyclable units will replace the need for a service contract on the photocopier and copiers like printers will come with a warranty and the main parts will be changeable by the customer themselves. This has already been achieved in printers and the photocopier industry will eventually follow.

Consumer buying behavior is now changing as well. Where once a photocopier was sold by a local dealer now people look to buy online off the internet. With suppliers online a wider choice of manufacturers is available and it will be reviews by the consumers themselves that will most influence purchase habits. The hard sale office photocopier salesperson will become a thing of the past. It's now for the copier industry to deliver what the customer wants. They want reliability, they want an end to service and cost per copy agreements and they want cheaper prices. And so they should. The manufacturer markup on most photocopiers is 500 - 1000% and easy to change units that exist already on printers with a warranty would negate the need of expensive cost per copy agreements.

In general, digital photocopiers now act as MFP's (Multifunction Printers) with scanning and photocopying as no longer the primary purpose. Slowly the idea of the paperless office is becoming a reality and both printing and copying is falling. This is partly happening because of the changing workforce. When email first came in people in the office were printing out all there email before they read it. Now people, largely due to the internet, are used to reading off the screen but it has taken time. It will be the customer that determines the speed of change within the photocopier market as they vote with there feet and ultimately it will be the companies and manufacturers that recognise and embrace change that will survive.

The Five Main Types of Tyres For All Driving Conditions

The Five Main Types of Tyres For All Driving Conditions

Choosing car tyres is not always an easy decision for most motorists. Where to buy them, what kind to buy, and of course, the budget, is the price of the tyre really worth its coin? Every car has factory tyres that were made for that car and sticking with them is not a bad decision but there are other factors to consider.

First of all, what type of tread is needed? Where does the motorist live and what types of roads and terrain does the car travel on? Dirt roads or gravel roads will need a better grip tyre, while a car that travels a lot of highway miles will need a harder rubber tyre that will last longer and be quieter than the mountain climbing tyres.

There are five main types of tyres for all driving conditions.

1. Standard or all season tyres. This tyre's name says it all. It is good in wet or dry pavement, rain or snow and has a harder rubber compound that gives the tyre longer life. The tread pattern also cuts down on the noise and allows a quite smooth highway drive.

2. ALL Terrain Tyres. This tyre has the best grip and is designed to tackle any mountain the motorist can drive on.

Its tread design is for handling gravel, dirt roads, mud tracks, and sand dunes.

3. Winter Tyres. These tyres are not the most quite since they have little metal studs in their treads for gripping into snow packed roads. They are used only in the winter but insure safety to the motorist under extreme slippery conditions.

4. Performance Tyres. These tyres are for the warmer climates where the pavement gets really hot. They are made of a softer rubber compound that grips the hot pavement, but handles poorly on wet or slippery roads.

5. Run Flat Tyres. This tyre is different from the others because it allows the motorist to drive for a while to safety if they have received a puncture to cause a flat.

Finding the best price for tyres isn't that easy but here are something's to take in consideration. The best deals come with package buying. Many dealers offer buy three tyres get one free, or buy four rims and get half price tyres.

Online tyre prices may be cheaper but there is a shipping cost and a lot of dealers will offer free installation or free mounting and balancing with tyre purchase. Some dealers will offer lifetime tyre rotation and balancing, so there is a lot to consider.

The most important thing to remember, whatever tyre is needed, proper maintenance is a must. Make sure the car's tyres are properly inflated and properly aligned, this will add to the life of the tyre and the safety of the passengers.

The Duties Performed By An L2 Electrician

The Duties Performed By An L2 Electrician

There are many things that an electrician can do including the installation and servicing of an electrical system. There are even electricians who can design an electrical system. The work that an electrician can do depends on the level of qualification that they have.

It is important to get an electrician that is qualified for the kind of work that you need done. This will ensure that the work is done to the required standards and that the needed safety measures will be followed. There are mainly three levels of accreditation - from level one to level three. There are certain functions that a level two or L2 electrician can carry out.

What Is A Level Two Electrician?

A level two electrician is an accredited service provider (ASP) who is authorized to carry out certain electrical work. A level two electrician is authorized to disconnect your property from the electricity network. He can also connect your property to the electricity network by installing a service line underground.

In case the underground service line needs to undergo some repairs, a level two electrician has the necessary skills to fix it. He can connect your property to the electricity network by installing a service line that is overhead, and can install a basic meter for you.

Residential Work Done By An Electrician

If you need to build your home or make some renovations, then you will need a qualified electrician. The electrician will be able to install and maintain the electrical system in your home such as the security system and outdoor lighting. He will also install any electrical equipment that you may have and will carry out any rewiring that is required. The electrician will also connect your home to the main power source and can also upgrade your electrical outlets.

Commercial Work

An L2 electrician can work in large buildings and construction sites. They have the necessary skills to carry out the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings. They also install and maintain electrical devices needed in the buildings. They can read blueprints and lay out the wires which end up connected to circuit breaks and switches.

Once they have laid out the wiring, they test the system to ensure that it works correctly and that is meets the safety standards. An electrician can get hired to routinely monitor the wiring in a commercial building. This arrangement ensures that any potential problems are resolved early enough so that the business does not get affected by electric faults.

Maintenance Work

There are electricians who focus on the maintenance of electrical systems. This involves finding out where the fault is in the wiring and then carrying out the necessary repairs. Finding the source of the electrical fault can be quite tricky and that is why it is important to use a qualified electrician who can successfully troubleshoot and give an effective solution.

An L2 electrician will sometimes be required to be on call. This means that at times they might have to work long hours, during weekends and even at night. When he is on call, the electrician will be able to attend to any emergency situations that may come up. A maintenance electrician who is not on call normally works the regular working hours of eight hours per day.

The Dos and Don'ts of Giving Feedback

The Dos and Don'ts of Giving Feedback

Being able to give effective feedback is not just a good skill to possess in business, it is a great life skill to have. Because when you are masterful at giving feedback, not only can you help your employees to sustain continuously improving performance, you can also improve the performance of the baseball team you coach, the cleaning lady at home, or the performance of your own children on completing their chores. Any persons performance in any activity can be positively impacted by effective feedback. Isnt that a powerful skill to have? Wouldnt you want to be a master at giving really useful and impactful feedback?

The good news is that it is not difficult to be good at giving feedback. It does take some effort and practice. But it is definitely a skill that can be learned. So, to get you started, here are the Dos and Donts of giving feedback.

Lets start with the Dos:

Be Timely: in order for feedback to be effective, you need to act quickly. If months have gone by before you bring up an incident, the person receiving the feedback will interpret your delay to imply that it couldnt have been that important, and the effect of the feedback is greatly diminished.

Be Specific: talk about your feedback in very direct and specific terms (I noticed there were several calculation errors in last months report). If you are vague (your work is unacceptable), how can you get the message across? Focus on the action and the results. Be very factual in your discussion.

Be Open and Offer Suggestions: if the objective of your feedback discussion is to produce an improvement of performance, then come equipped with suggestions (again be specific) on what the person can do to affect that change. Be open to their perspective and be willing to discuss how they see that situation. Enroll them in coming up with a solution that they can buy into. If you dont get buy-in, change will not happen.

Create the right environment: feedback is best done in person, and in a private setting. In a business setting, arrange a time and place for your discussion. Dont just catch people on the fly and throw a few comments their way as they are heading down the hallway and expect your comments to have any impact.

Check for understanding and buy-in: if the feedback discussion is about a performance issue, make sure you check-in on how your comments have landed with the person. Establish some sort of accountability to verify their buy-in. For example, if you have an employee who constantly misses deadlines. During the discussion, ask for a commitment that he will meet all deadlines for the next quarter. Make sure that the commitment is specific, and not something vague like: Ill do a better job of meeting deadlines next quarter.

And now for the Donts:

Dont Make it personal: there is a difference between giving feedback and criticizing. Do not make it personal. Dont interpret actions (showing up late) and pass judgment on the person (he is slacker and isnt truly dedicated to this job). Criticism destroys relationships. If your employee feels like he is being attacked, he is not going to be very open to hear what you have to say, he will immediately become defensive, and your job becomes much harder. Focus the discussion on the action, not the person. Make your employee feel that he is being supported, even if his performance is not up to standard.

Dont Only give feedback when theres a problem: if youre their leader, people need to know where they stand with you. If you have a great employee who always exceeds your expectations, take the time to give him just as much feedback as your biggest challenge. As a matter of fact, make it a point to give more positive feedback comments than constructive ones with every person. Youll be amazed at how much more motivated your employees will become with consistent positive reinforcement.

Dont Address multiple issues in one discussion: your employee will go into overload and you will lose the impact of the discussion. If there are multiple issues, have different discussions and just concentrate on addressing them one at a time.

So there you have it, a short list of Dos and Donts you can apply to whatever feedback you need to give. Remember, most people, even your rebellious teenager, want to do a good job and to please. They do need some clues as to how they are doing and what they need to change. So master the art of feedback and you can really help each other.

The world depends on various forms of oil to work industrial operations and to help keep residencies warm during the cold winter months. The oil we need is drilled from two types of oil rigs. These rigs are land based oil rigs and ocean offshore rigs.

Even though the oil rigs can be different in positions on the surface of the earth they perform the same task. This is to locate a deposit of oil and drill for it. For this reason the oil rigs are constructed of solid material which can stand up to severe storm weather. The rig is also large enough to contain all of the tools, equipment and machinery that is necessary to operate the rig.

As the oil deposits are generally found some distances away from civilization the various oil rigs need to be absolutely self-sufficient. To cater for this reason the rig will have an electrical plant that generates the power needed for the work. The larger offshore oil rigs will have a desalination plant to purify salt water so that it is converted to fresh water.

A treatment plant can be found on the premises of oil rigs. The treatment plant will safely dispose of the various wastes that accumulate in the oil rigs. This allows the drilling crew to continue their work without worrying about the need to dispose of these safely in an environmental friendly manner.

To make the lives of the drilling crew comfortable they have very comfortable living quarters. These quarters will have all of the comforts of a four star hotel. In some cases the living quarters will be located some distance from the oil rig itself. This is done so that the crew is less exposed to the dangers that can occur from the oil and the machinery catching fire.

As the work which is done at oil rigs is very strenuous there is a very good salary for the drill crew. You will find that in each rig there is a hierarchy of workers. The pay for these individuals depends on the nature of their work. For instance the yearly pay for a Roustabout is about $48,000 USD. For the supervisor the yearly salary ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 USD.

The various remuneration and other benefits allow the people who live and work on oil rigs to perform their work in the different weather conditions. They perform a vital service to society. We have yet to acknowledge the debt we owe to them and thank them for all of the sacrifices which have been made on our behalf.

The Cold Heading Process for Small Metal Parts

The Cold Heading Process for Small Metal Parts

Their function seems so simple, but small metal parts play a huge role in keeping certain industries afloat. For example, where would the electronics industry be without the screws, contact rivets, and miniature components that are used to build products? And where would the automotive industry be without the bevy of metal fasteners used to keep cars in one piece? Imagine trying to drive a car held together by rubber bands and duct tape. Thats a world without simple metal parts. Despite the relative importance of these parts, however, few people know how and where they are made. Even the executives of the companies which keep the metal part industry in business are often far removed from the manufacturing decisions and industrial knowledge.

The truth is that there are many metalworking processesdie casting, extrusion, forging, and so on. Each of these processes falls into one of the following categoriesforming, cutting, and joiningand has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to industry. One in particular is extremely useful for manufacturing small metal parts. This is the cold heading process. Cold heading is a process which shapes metal by applying force to a metal blank with a punch and die. Once the force applied by the die exceeds the metal blanks yield strength, the material begins to give and take on the shape of the die. Why is this process so effective? For starters, it allows a supplier to make extremely precise parts given the use of a die. Many different shapes and designs can be realized, and furthermore it is easy to create custom shapes for individual clients. Second of all, the cold forming process strengthens the metal through deformation. This makes cold headed parts far more durable and resistant to shock and fatigue than small metal parts created through a different process. Thirdly, there is no scrap produced since the metal is shaped rather than cut or otherwise removed. This means that production can occur more quickly and efficiently, without the extra labor that is required to remove the scrap. The bottom line is that the cold heading process is able to produce small metal parts quickly and cheaply when compared to others means.

While the cold heading process is fantastic for small metal fasteners such as screws, contacts, contact rivets, and other fasteners, it is not ideal for everything. Larger projects may be served better by another type of metalworking. Furthermore, cold heading companies can only use certain types of materials with their stamping machines. Metals such as steel, aluminum, copper, and nickel work well with cold heading machines. As do precious metals such as silver, gold, and platinum. Iron, however, is an exception. As are magnesium, refractory metals, titanium, and zinc. Given the widespread use of cold forming processes, it is important for executives in many industries to understand the process through which their components and products are manufactured. Knowing whether to look for a cold heading company or another type of industrial supplier will help businesses save time and expense, as well as create a better end-product.

Start using a carpet cleaner thats also an odor neutralizer. Both-in-one carpet cleaners assistance to replace the musty smell with an above average smell.

Carpet Shampoo

Carpet Shampoo is one involving upholstery cleaners that are popular not only for cleaning the actual upholstery of the seats with regard to cars, but also the rug of the car.

Prior to utilize the shampoo carpet, use a wet-dried up vacuum cleaner to suck carpeting. This will allow the carpet of dust particles in nice hair, pieces of paper and fine sand.

Work with a brush to stroke the shampoo foam in carpeting. Use as little water as it can be while dragging the carpet.

After removing dirt and spots from the carpet, rinse nicely to remove the carpet froth. The last step is to vacuum the floor covering using wet-dry vacuum solution. Dry the car carpet a long time before using it again.

How you test Hoover vacuums

We've tested greater than 30 cylinder and upright vacs through Hoover, both bagged and bagless. Its vacuums often include valuable features such as adjustable floorheads, which can be raised and lowered to suit a thick-pile carpet or hard floor. Some upright types we've tested are effective with sucking up pesky pet curly hair. We found some of their own other machines are noiser compared to average, or use paper bags that see a quick loss of suction as they top off.

We've put each and each and every Hoover through the same battery pack of tough tests as many of us do models from all your brands. By testing each product in the same robust way we're able to accurately evaluate different models and and brands to ensure we only advise the very best as Finest Buys.

All of us score each vacuum solution on the areas that make a difference most to you, including just how well they pick up airborne dirt and dust and pet hair, how very much dust they can hold ahead of they need emptying, how user friendly they are and how raucous they are.

For the dust pick-upward test a machine spreads really fine sand over a rug and grinds it in. We then strap the vacuum cleaner to the custom-built test rig, which pulls as well as pushes the vac as it sucks up the dust. This is known as the Arizona sand test.

This check is repeated many times; when the bag or cylinder is empty and also any time it's filled with 100g and 400g of dust. A inadequate vacuum cleaner would pick up less than half the dust, a Best Buy vac can pick up double the amount.

Many of us also check each vac's pet hair pick-way up by hand-combing cat and dog hair into carpet and then testing how long a vac takes to pick it down. We also measure dust ability so how often you'll have to empty it and the weight and reach from socket to nozzle.

The Benefits Of Having A Free ATM In Your Business

The Benefits Of Having A Free ATM In Your Business

Having a Free ATM (Automated Teller Machine) installed in a business is extremely profitable for retail businesses that have a requirement for their customers to pay with cash. Unlike the majority of vending machines where the business owner receives a small rental fee for the floor space and nothing from the sales generated, having a Free ATM installed in your business has the following advantages:

Passive Income. You get paid a percentage of the transaction fees that are generated from your ATM.

Increased Cash Flow. Recent data indicates that having an ATM installed in your business can increase your sales as much as 8%

Increased in store spending. Studies show that a customer who withdraws cash from an in store ATM will spend up 20% more than customers who use cards.

Cash Recycling. Approximately 25% of the cash withdrawn from an in store ATM will be spent on the premises, this cash is then redeposit into the ATM by the storeowner at the end of the day. This figure can be as high as 75% for pubs and clubs!

Decreased Bank and EFTPOS fees. By having your customers utilize your ATM and pay you in cash you will significantly decrease your EFTPOS and credit card fees, charge backs as well as credit disputes. Transaction fees from EFTPOS and credit cards can be as high as 3%.

Increased Security for Employees. By depositing your daily takings into your ATM you no longer have to take those risky trips to the bank. Enhanced Business Image. Your business image will improve due to the fact you are providing a new and unique service for your customers.

Increased Awareness. By having people utilize your ATM you will expose your business to a new group of customers.

Placement Programs

A placement program is ideal for the business owner who does not have the capital to purchase their own ATM. With a placement program an ATM deployer will install a free ATM in your premises and pay you a percentage of the transaction fees. All maintenance, connection fees and payment is taken care of by the deployer. As the business owner it is your responsibility to cash the machine on a daily basis (just like putting money in a till). When the money is withdrawn it is automatically credited into the storeowners account and as mentioned earlier up to 75% of that cash will recycle from your till to the ATM and back again. A typical contract for the placement of a Free ATM will be for a period of five years with another five year option.

Purchase Your Own ATM

This is where the business owner purchases the ATM for an upfront fee. The difference between this and the Free ATM is that an ATM owner receives a far larger percentage of the transaction fees, with the ATM deployer still paying for all the service, maintenance and fees associated with being connected to the network. For any business with enough capital, this is an extremely profitable investment with the majority of ATM's paying for themselves from 12-36 months and the expected lifespan being anywhere from 15-20 years.

The Benefits of Car Servicing

The Benefits of Car Servicing

Running a car can be quite an expense, especially these days. We pay for road tax, MOTs, repairs, car servicing, parking, petrol, and car insurance tax and premiums, it's never-ending and a given.

Whether you have an Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Mini, Mercedes, Smart Car or commercial vehicle, there is one way you can keep costs to a minimum and ensure you don't pay too much through the nose: making sure that you have a regular car service.

Car manufacturers recommend very clearly at what time in a car's life you will need to have a service, and provide a comprehensive service book that needs to be kept up-to-date, especially if you are planning to sell on your car. When you come to sell your car or trade it in, it will have been maintained in the best possible condition and ultimately sell for a higher price, so an investment in regular car servicing is a sensible return on investment.

Also, if you have a warranty on your car, then you will need regular servicing in order to maintain that warranty as part of its terms and conditions.

Car servicing also ensures that your car is maintained to the highest standard, and performs at its optimum level, and that your car will run as smoothly, safely, efficiently and reliably as possible for a very long time. And when your car is performing at its best, you will enjoy driving the car even more and get a great deal of satisfaction from it.

With cars' CO2 emissions becoming increasingly a factor in motoring life, especially for new higher car tax bands, having a regular car service can help fuel consumption be at its cleanest and CO2 emissions at its lowest.

There is nothing worse than an unreliable car, we have all had the odd occasion when the car has broken down at the roadside, not started in the morning, or perhaps has been in and out of a garage more times than it has been running on the road. This can apply to Audis, as well as BMWs and Volkswagens. Having regular car servicing ensures that potential or underlying problems with a car are dealt with before they happen, especially if there is a small mechanical problem that, if left unfixed, can develop into a larger problem, and expense, later on. Sometimes a service can seem like an awful lot of money, especially with all of the other running costs associated with owning a car. But in the long-term regular car servicing at a reputable and trusted garage can save you a lot of trouble, time and money to keep your car on the road and performing at its best.

The Advantages of Diesel

The Advantages of Diesel

Diesel engines, like gasolene engines, are both internal combustion engines. Fuel is mixed with air when it goes into the engine and that mixture is compressed internally, within the engines cylinders. After a while, the fuel ignites, driving the piston down and turning the shaft, that is connected to the vehicles transmission and turns the wheels. The piston then moves up within the cylinder, which pushes the gases out of the engine and out the pipe as exhaust. Then the cycle repeats, many times per second.

If the engine has additional cylinders, it tends to run better and therefore build additional power since the combustion events happen terribly close in time. However, the greater the number of cylinders an engine has, the more advanced and inefficient the engine becomes. Depending how the cylinders are organized conjointly incorporates a bearing on performance, vibration and different factors. Thats true for gas and diesel engines.

Where diesel and gas engines differ however is the fuel enkindled within the engine. In a gasoline engine, the air and fuel is compressed and at a certain point within the order of the cycle, a plug ignites the gas. However in a diesel motor, there are not any spark plugs. Once diesel oil and air are squeezed enough, the acute compression generates enough heat that the mixture then combusts. This is often called "compression ignition," and its the premise of how a diesel motor works. Once an internal-combustion engine has combustion ignition, we usually name it "knock" and it will ruin the engine. However diesel engines are engineered to make the most of it.

Because diesel motors use compression ignition, which may quickly ruin a gasoline engine, they have to be created terribly robust. And since they are available from a workhorse heritage, they have an inclination to be extremely reliable and want a minimum of care. Each one accustomed means plenty of additional weight, however with trendy producing ways, the load penalty for a diesel motor has been greatly reduced and therefore the engines weight is currently usually on par with gas engines.

Also, a diesel motor is much more straightforward than a gasoline engine since it's got no spark plugs and therefore the associated electrical system required for them. So now, cars and SUVs will run on diesel and have performance more similar to a gasoline engine, however with the fuel consumption rate and responsibility of a diesel motor. In general, a diesel motor can outlive a gasoline engine in terms of what number of miles or hours it will run before it desires major service, thus repair bills are smaller and usually a lot longer apart for a diesel motor.

The 5 Most Expensive BMW Cars of All Time

The 5 Most Expensive BMW Cars of All Time

Perhaps no three letters are as closely associated with luxury and class as BMW.

The automotive company has come a long way since its first car, the 1927 Dixi 3/15 PS DA-1, which maxed out at 75 miles per hour.

Now, BMWs are lightning fast and gorgeously sleek. Yet, to own some of the top models will cost you a pretty penny.

Today, were breaking down the five most expensive BMW cars of all time.

Have a few million dollars sitting around youve been itching to spin?  Lets take a look at what your money can get you:

1. The Most Expensive BMW: 1991 Nazca M12: $3 Million

Yes, you read that correctly.

The idea for this concept car was originally conceived by automobile designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, who came up with the model for engineering company Italdesign.

Though it never went into production, there were three Nazca M12s made. In 2011, one went up for auction for $1.1 million.

With its carbon fiber body and BMWs stellar V12 engine (the same in the 750i and 850i), experts estimate its value to have more than doubled now.

2. BMW M8: At Least $590,000

Kept under wraps for about 15 years, the BMW M8 became somewhat of a fable in the automotive industry.

The prototype, created in the early 1990s, was a fire-engine red stunner boasting 500+ horsepower and six-speed rear-wheel drive. At the time, it was the most tech-savvy car BMW had ever designed.

Yet, a fluctuating market and less-than-reliable demand meant it was destined to be kept under wraps, where it remained until 2010 when it was displayed in Munich.

While its valued at just under $600,000, the mystery swirling around the model lends itself to even higher estimates.

3. BMW X5 Le Mans Concept: $590,000

The oldest active sports car race in the world, Le Mans is the benchmark against which automobile manufacturers judge the speed, quality, and craftsmanship of their products.

In 1999, BMW won Le Mans with a high-power V12 engine.

The manufacturer then took that engine and ran with it: it incorporated it into its X5 series, an unlikely match considering the X5 is a luxury mid-sized SUV better suited for a family than the racetrack.

The resulting vehicle? An uber-strong and crazy fast BMW that could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than five seconds.

Try taking that through the carpool lane or a BMW service center without turning some heads!

4. BMW M5 G-Power Hurricane RRs: $470,000

Looking for a sedan powered by an 830 horsepower V10 engine that can reach speeds of up to 231 miles per hour? The M5 G-Power Hurricane RRs delivers.

One of the fastest and most expensive BMW sedans ever created, its created in partnership with G-Power, the Bavaria-based car tuning manufacturer behind a few of the companys high-powered luxury vehicles.

5. BMW M5 G-Power Hurricane CS: Mid $400,000s

With a slightly lower output (and a lower price tag to match) the CS model boasts many of the same features as the RRs.

The V10 engine on this model is 750 horsepower. It also features a nine-way adjustable suspension, as well as carbon fiber seats, giving you all the power and agility youd expect from one of the most expensive BMW models.

Thank you for your business!

Thank you for your business!

A friend went to his local hardware store recently to buy a drill. The store had recently been sold, and the new owner helped him to make a selection. When he paid for the drill, the owner said Thank you for your business.

It took my friend by surprise. Not that he didnt like being thanked for his business, but he just wasnt used to it. The previous owner acted as though customers should thank him for waiting on them.

Even though the last few years have seen a new interest in serving customers well, there are still more businesspeople like the former owner of that hardware store; people who act as though theyre doing you a favor by letting you purchase something theyre selling.

Its a pity that more sales and service people dont thank customers for their business. It may not seem like a big deal, but those few words can have a major impact. They can make a customer feel appreciated, and can add a touch of warmth and humanity to an otherwise cold business transaction. And besides, those words are an expression of fact. Customers should be thanked for their business, because there is nothing forcing them to do business with you rather than your competitors! Theyve made a choice to buy from you, and they deserve to be thanked for their choice.

Think about it. Customers always have options. Even if you work for a business that has no competitors, they still have the option of going to the local store. They can always say No to you.

Thanking customers is just an acknowledgement of how important they are to you and of how much you value them. Without customers, no business can survive. Just try it! The next time you deal with a customer, even if its only to sell the cheapest product your company sells, thank them for their business. Say it with a smile, and say it with sincerity.

You may surprise them. Youll certainly make them feel good. They might not acknowledge it right away , but that little Thank You will contribute to a good feeling about you and your company.

For this article, I went to the archives. This is something I wrote for a sales and service staff training program twenty years ago. So let me ask you a question? Does this apply today? In the next article, we will look at different kinds of satisfied and unsatisfied customers.

Ten Necessary Steps to Winterize Your Car

Ten Necessary Steps to Winterize Your Car

Winter is the season of joy and happiness. Unfortunately this is not true for your automobile. Heavier weather can lead to a number of safety issues and increased stress on your vehicle. Snow and ice make traction and vision a luxury. Potholes wreck tires and wheels while weakening suspensions. Salted roads cause unwanted rust. The simple task of driving can quickly turn into a nightmare. However, there are 10 steps to prepare your car for winter to help take a load off your back.

10 Necessary Steps:

1. Get your car an oil change and check-up. Changing your oil prior to the start of the harsh season is a smart move. In freezing cold areas of the world, it is a necessity. Your typical car these days runs with 10w30 oil in it which during the winter months can cause your motor not to crank over. A 5w30 or lower viscosity oil is recommended as it is thinner and will lubricate the engine better in cold temperatures. Always consult your local professional and owners manual prior to servicing.

2. Get your vision check-up. As inexpensive as they are, people tend to procrastinate on changing their windshield wipers. A good set of wipers should last about a year and can be purchased and installed by your local AutoZone, OReillys, Pep Boys, CarQuest or NAPA Auto Parts Store. Now is the time to change them. Also, make sure that windshield wiper fluid rather than just water is put into the reservoir. Water will freeze during the winter months and render the system useless. Lastly, check the defrosters. Make sure that they are working properly.

3. Consider buying new shoes. Snow tires are a must in areas that receive high amounts of snow during the season. Consider getting your summer tires switched out and having a set riveted with snow spikes installed. Snow tires will increase traction in icy situations. Another route available is to install snow chains. However, with snow chains the vehicles speed must remain at the pace of a turtle.

4. Pump the tires up. Tire pressure is often overlooked in preferred and poor driving conditions alike. There is a sticker in the door jamb that can be referred to for proper tire inflation. Also the owners manual and or local car dealership should be able to provide you with this information. Last thing you want to do is add to the already severely compromised grip on the road during rainy, snowy or icy conditions.

5. Make sure the battery has juice. Batteries work well at room temperature but may struggle when its freezing out. Find an auto repair shop that will perform a free check for you. This is the worst time of the year to be stranded.

6. Have the belts and hoses checked out. These rubber parts dont hold up well under the constant hot and cold temperatures they experience. Have your local technician check for signs of cracking, fraying and splitting on the belts. For the hoses, make sure they arent dried out and brittle or leaking any coolant.

7. Your antifreeze should be 50/50. Half water, half antifreeze is what you need in your radiator and reservoir. Too much water will cause the fluid to freeze and be ineffective at cooling your engine. Also, this can cause severe engine damage and expensive repairs. Most auto service shops are equipped to test the fluid and will do so for free at your check-up. If at all questionable, consider having the fluid swapped.

8. Is your vehicle equipped with 4wd? Before venturing out on unknown roads, verify that your four-wheel drive system is working properly. In the situation that you happen to get stuck in the snow, 4wd is a great help to bail you out. Ensure that the system switches on when asked and have all the gearbox fluids checked at your local mechanic shop.

9. Just in case. Have an emergency kit stored in the back of your vehicle. Make sure to include the following items so that youre prepared no matter what dangers you face:
warm blanket
extra boots and gloves
an extra set of warm clothes
extra water and food, including hard candies
an ice scraper
a small shovel
a flashlight
windshield washer fluid
windshield wipers
flares
jumper cables
a tool kit
tire chains
a tire gauge
a spare tire with air in it
tire-changing equipment
a first-aid kit
paper towels
a bag of abrasive material such as sand, salt or non-clumping kitty litter, which can provide additional traction if a tire gets stuck in snow.

10. Be prepared for the worst. Have a plan of action if worst comes to worst. The best way to avoid tragedy is to not be on the roads. Unfortunately, our lives require us to travel from place to place. Talk to your local Fire Station about proper procedures in the event that you get stranded on the road. Stay close to your car unless youre absolutely certain about where youre headed. Light at least two flares and set them by each side, behind your car, to make you more visible to those passing by. In severe snow storms be sure to crack your windows slightly to avoid being sealed in. Cover up with the extra clothes and blanket to keep warm. If you have plenty of fuel, start your car for 10-15 minutes every hour to cycle the heater. Lastly, stay calm, collected and aware at all times so that you can make sound decisions.

Teflon coating is also known as Antirust Coating. Teflon coating is done on the body and under-body of the car. It is a chemical form of the Synthetic fluoropolymer. It is non-sticky as well as reduces the friction on the material and provides clear and strong protective finish to cars paint.
Teflon coating increases the ability of the surface to which it is applied. It helps to prevent the surface against the corrosion as well as wear and tear problem in the High & Low temperature. It keeps dirt away from the surface and helps to repel the water. Teflon coating is also done on a clear and sunny day like Ceramic coating.
Car detailing process should be done at the idle location like your Parking or a place where you can park your car under the roof and protect the car from direct sunlight. UV rays are harmful to the cars paint. Rinse off dirt from the cars surface with the help of water hose. You can use car wash shampoo and microfiber pads for scrubbing to get better and cleaned surface. Wash the car completely including the wheels and rims. Once the car washing is done dry the car with the help of Microfiber cleaning cloth so that water drops cant leave on the surface.
Now the surface is dried completely and you can finally start the coating process. The very first step is that shake the spray properly
Shake it properly to mix the Teflon solution before using. And after that spray it onto the paint with steady back and forth streams. Continue spraying until the entire painted surface of the car is coated with a thin film which needs to dry without disturbance. Thats why experts suggest not to work on a rainy day or under a tree.
The coating dry time will depend on the brand of Teflon coating you are using. But a few hours should do. Use a clean rag to rub off the Teflon wax. This wiping just takes off the excess. The Teflon coating that has adhered to the paint job will not come off with a light rub.

Teflon Process on vehicle
-Car Surface is Washed and after that Cleaned Completely.
-Then the full body is wiped and dried completely with the help of microfiber cleaning cloth.
-Once the full surface of the car is washed and the cleaned car is ready for Teflon coating which will be applied in lubricate form on the entire body.
-leave the surface for drying. It will take 15-20 minutes to dry. After that, the polishing will be done on the surface of the car.
-polishing can be applied in two ways: machine and hand. Experts use Rupes Bigfoot car polishing machine for the best result.
-Polishing process will take around 30 minutes for buffing. If it is done correctly it will remove scratches too.

Benefits of Teflon Coating
Car Paint will begin to shine after Teflon and even minor scratches will also be removed. Effect of the Teflon coating last shorter, around 2 months and after that it will continue to come down.
It provides a layer to prevent minor scratches and it acts as Paint Protection.
It adds a Glossy look to a car so apply Teflon coating periodically for best results.
It improves the paint life of your car if done regularly.

Stairs School Football League (SSFL) Delhi Season 2 culminated at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi today. The league which has emerged as the biggest talent spotting platform in the country will churn quality Indian footballers year after year. Indias largest flexible packaging company Uflex has pledged support to Stairs School Football League Delhi and recently Ahmedabad under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the next 5 years.

In its second season SSFL-Delhi witnessed active participation from over 6,000 children across 288 schools in the National Capital Region. Adhering to its widely acclaimed format, SSFL started with over 60 grassroots spotting camps across the four zones in Delhi. 592 matches were played in a span of 100 days engaging 288 teams. In a first, 32 girls teams also participated in SSFL Delhi 2 squaring up the gender diversity. In this process STAIRS has shortlisted over 350 promising footballers for professional training. Over 150 underprivileged children including 52 girls were spotted and trained by STAIRS through the widely spread grassroots camps across Delhi.

Overall, 4 winning teams one each from Under 14 Girls, Under 14 Boys, Under 17 Girls, Under 17 Boys lifted the majestic gold plated Champions Trophy while the runners-up received the grand Silver Trophy. Both trophies are the running trophies and will remain with the winning teams school until the beginning of the SSFL 2016.

The ceremony also witnessed 20 promising players receiving the Golden Boot and Ball trophy. The individual prizes were given to 4 Best Strikers, 4 Best Defenders, 4 Best Goalkeepers , 4 Best Midfielders and 4 most promising players, one each for boys and girls in their respective age categories.

In attendance at the closing ceremony were Mr. Rajiv Yadav, Secretary (Sports), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India along with Scott ODonnell AIFF Technical Director and several other dignitaries.

Mr. Ashok Chaturvedi, Chairman & Managing Director, Uflex Limited in an official statement said, Nothing bonds people better than sports bringing out all emotions to the fore. I am a firm believer that Sport is a medium that helps furthering the cause of national integration. It doesnt get better than starting at early adolescence like SSFL does. The adrenaline rush on both sides builds up the real climax and then the best team wins. Winning or losing the game is not important, as long as true sportsmanship rules the roost. My organisation is in the business of flexible packaging and I exactly understand the merit of sports in packaging and shaping up the personalities of these budding sportspersons.

I am particularly elated to learn about the participation from girls. Today these children are creating miracles on Indian soil. Tomorrow they will win laurels for our country across the globe. This is just the beginning. I would like to congratulate all the participants of SSFL-Delhi, their family members and coaches for putting up a spectacular show over the last 100 days. Uflex is glad to have partnered with STAIRS for this meaningful endeavour and we look forward to more exciting and successful SSFL seasons in the years that follow.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Siddhartha Upadhyay, Founder and Secretary General, STAIRS said, Today when the whole world is converging as a global village, SSFL is looked up to as one of the most promising football talent scouting platforms by clubs and bodies seeking to acquire talent right at early adolescence. While many officials and individuals from professional bodies keep their eyes on the budding players during the matches, selectors from international foreign clubs watch live streaming of important matches and even call for recorded videos to assess the performance of promising players. Our efforts are focused at fulfilling childrens universal right to play; create opportunities for them to showcase their sporting talent and also nourish and nurture the promising players. The ultimate aim is to provide India with a pool of players who will ensure that we win at international competitions and make the whole country proud. In the process of scouting and training, the change in childrens personality, the positivity in their lives and the happiness that we are spreading are clearly the by-products of the engagement. It is extremely heartening to see the second season of SSFL being a whopping success. I assure that season 3 will bet yet better and bigger in all respects.

Apart from the known changes that sports bring in the overall personality of children, SSFL ensures social mobility as multiple stakeholders media, social foundations, corporate, educational institutions, and political decision makers come together in support of a common goal.

The league also beholds a great economic significance as it opens economic opportunities for sports fraternity as well as many more ancillaries associated with the league.

Some Thoughts On Courage

Some Thoughts On Courage

I love the word courage. Its origin is from the Latin word cor, meaning heart, and it offers an image of people at their best. A courageous person is someone who puts personal safety and comfort aside and takes risk for honorable and worthwhile causes.

What does courage have to do with work, business, and leadership? The father of all virtues is courage, because courage is the quality of every quality at its highest testing point. Eventually every value gets tested. Whether or not we will align our values, our lives, and our habits with those principles is the big question, says Steven Covey. To be or not be is still the BIG QUESTION in other words, will we really do it a the moment of truth? Dont these words apply to our work as well as our personal life?

The infectious nature of strikingly courageous behavior on the part of one person can inspire an also in part can shame a whole group, notes William Bennett, author of The Book of Virtues. Courageous people are more in demand in our working world than ever before.

Bennetts comment on Aristotles quote We become brave by doing brave acts: by saying that courage is a settled disposition to feel appropriate degrees of fear and confidence in challenging situations. It is also a settled disposition to stand ones ground, to advance or retreat as wisdom dictates.

I have found some other words about courage you may find helpful or uplifting when faced with difficult or challenging situations in evolving work world. I hope they are as meaningful and enlightening to you as they are to me.

Courage, n: The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear or vicissitudes with self possession, confidence and resolution; bravery.
American Heritage Dictionary

Perfect courage is to do without witnesses that one would be capable of doing with the world looking on.
Francois de la Rochefoucauld

Some have been thought brave because they were afraid to run away.
18th Century English Proverb

Courage charms us, because it indicates that a man love an idea better than all things in the world, that he is thing neither of his bed, nor his dinner, nor his money, but will venture all to put in act the invisible thought of his mind.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of not absence of fear.
Mark Twain

You take a number of small steps which you believe are right, thinking maybe tomorrow somebody will treat this as a dangerous provocation. And then you wait. If there is no reaction, you take another step: courage is only an accumulation of small steps.
George Konrad

Courage is grace under pressure.
Ernest Hemmingway

A Smile
Let other cheer the winning man, theres one I hold worthwhile; Tis he who does the best he can, then looses with a smile.
Beaten he is, but not to stay
Down with the rank and file;
That man will win some other day, who loses with a smile.
From William Bennetts Book of Virtues

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the road less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

Robert Frost

Social Security Number Search How to Find a Person's SSN

Social Security Number Search How to Find a Person's SSN

Image source: http://img-aws.ehowcdn.com/750x428p/s3.amazonaws.com/cme_public_images/www_ehow_com/i.ehow.com/images/a04/v7/hs/new-social-security-number-800x800.jpg

The United States government originally used a social security number, which is also know as an SSN, as a means of taxing a person. In recent years, however, the social security number has become an easy means of identifying a person for many legal purposes.

Looking up a person's SSN can tell you a lot about them. Every social security number is different, so, if you know a name and SSN, you can quickly access many public records about a person.

The biggest reason that you may want to do a search, based on a person's SSN, is if you are an employer who is looking to hire a new employee.

A social security number search can verify that the person is who they say they are, for tax id purposes. After all, identity theft is a common problem in recent years.

Beyond that, though, a social security number search can also tell you a person's traffic violation history, criminal history, credit history and several other important facts. As an employer, you can never be too careful. You always want to be sure that the person you are going to hire is fit for the job.

One way to look up a person's SSN information is through the United States Social Security Administration. On their website, you can conduct up to ten social security number searches each and every day. It is a free service, provided by the United States government.

Aside from the Social Security Administration's website, there are also many other online resources available to you. Different websites have different fees, so be careful. You may want to check on a website's reputation, before researching on it. One way or the other, though, you should eventually be able to find information on anyone, as long as you have their name and social security number.

If you have tried to search for someone's SSN on your own with no luck, or if you simply do not have the time to conduct the search yourself, you can enlist the services of a private investigator instead. Private investigators will give you up to date, accurate information. However, accuracy and speed can be expensive. Be prepared to pay up to one hundred dollars or so per search.

The bottom line is that you can never be too careful these days. So, if you are going to go through the motions of conducting interviews and reading resumes anyway, why not take it a step further? Arm yourself with all the information you can, by doing a social security number search. After all, SSN information is a matter of public record and it can be a big help in making your final decision.
